Brooke L. Solberg, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM
Dr. Solberg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at the University of North Dakota (UND), and has been a faculty member there since 2007. She received her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science from the UND. She has worked clinically in the hematology department at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and as a generalist at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Brooke currently teaches undergraduate and graduate MLS courses including: Hematology Laboratory, Clinical Body Fluids, Clinical Hemostasis, Laboratory Practice, Current Trends and Issues in the Laboratory Profession, Erythrocytes in Health and Disease, and Education Methodologies for the Laboratory Professional. She also is the program coordinator for the MLS master’s degree program at UND. Brooke’s research focuses primarily on education of laboratory professionals, and she enjoys presenting at and participating in ASCLS events as well as other advanced learning opportunities in the profession.
