Professor Stoddard is the director of the Medical Laboratory Science Program at Grand Valley State University where she teaches bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing to the Bachelor’s Degree students. She has been involved in development of microbiology curriculum and teaching at GVSU for 26 years. She has presented on the topic of laboratory careers and laboratory science curriculum in the United States and in Africa and also helped develop a curriculum for laboratory science at Africa University in Zimbabwe. She is a member of ASM, ASCLS, and SCACM and has served as the SCACM State Director for Michigan and as the microbiology Scientific Assembly Chair for ASCLS-MI.
