Dr. Colucciello is Adjunct Professor of Emergency Medicine at University of North Carolina Medical School, Chapel Hill and the Vice Chief of Emergency Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Colucciello has attained extensive academic achievements. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of an Emergency Medicine Journal as well as the editor or co-editor of eight emergency medicine textbooks. Dr. Colucciello has author or co-author of over 100 emergency medicine publications and given more than 250 national and international presentations. He won a national award for presentations in emergency medicine and was named one of Best Doctors in America 2010. The doctor is a Past Member of the American College of Emergency Physicians Clinical Policy Committee as well as Past Chair of the American College of Emergency Physicians Clinical Policy Committee on Syncope. His many interests include use of evidence-based algorithms to improve care and reduce medical-legal risk in the ED.
